Allama Iqbal Open University Initiates Admissions for Spring Semester 2024 

Professor Sheikh Anees, Deputy Director of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), announced the commencement of admissions for the first phase of the spring semester 2024. AIOU, recognized as Pakistan's largest distance education system, is extending this opportunity across all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Admissions for the upcoming semester are scheduled to begin on January 15, 2024. 

Program to be offered in AIOU Spring 2024 Admissions

The diverse range of programs offered in this phase includes:
  • Matriculation (General), 
  • Matriculation Teaching (General Secondary),
  • FA (General), 
  • I.Com, 
  • FA Teaching (Special Secondary), 
  • certificate courses, 
  • BS (face-to-face), 
  • MPhil
  • PhD.

Professor Sheikh Anees emphasized that admission forms and prospectuses for all these programs will be conveniently accessible online through the university's official website, starting from January 15. To assist students, facilitation centers and help desks have been established in Sialkot, providing guidance and support in adherence to given instructions. Former Deputy Director Prof Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed, along with Prof Waleed Khan, Prof Yasir, Prof Nadeem Islam, and Mehr Ilyas, graced the occasion with their presence.

Professor Sheikh Anees also shared that both Pakistani and international students residing worldwide can enhance their academic journey by enrolling in matriculation, FA, and I.COM degree programs.For students pursuing education in foreign countries, the university has streamlined the admission process through an online system. All activities, from enrollment to examinations, will be conducted seamlessly through online platforms. It is essential to note that as per the university's admission policy, applying online is mandatory for admission in BS, MPhil, and PhD programs. However, for matriculation and FA programs, students can opt to complete and submit the admission forms either manually or online. This comprehensive approach aims to make the admission process accessible and efficient for a diverse range of students.
